Town's fear over low-cost homes

WINCHCOMBE town councillors have expressed concern at the loss of affordable housing in the town following changes to the Tewkesbury local plan.

During an emergency item on the town council agenda, councillors called for Tewkesbury Borough Council to look again at the provision for affordable houses in the area.

Their concern follows a planning inspector's decision to remove two housing schemes from the local plan - one for 100 houses between Greet Road and Gretton Road and the other for 20 houses in Becketts Lane.
