A WEEK-LONG Christian festival is taking place in Moreton in the run-up to Palm Sunday.
Mission Moreton 2004, also known as mm04. is due to include a range of special events and activities, including a women's lunch, men's breakfast and even a golf day at Naunton Downs followed by a sports dinner.
The week, which has been organised by the Rev Stephen Wookey and his colleagues at the St David's Church, will be led by Christian speaker Rico Tice, author of Christianity Explored, and a team from London. Mr Tice is in great demand and was booked for the Moreton event 18 months ago.
Mr Wookey said: "We felt we hadn't done anything of this sort since I came to the parish eight years ago.
"Anyone is invited to join the fun, to meet old friends and make new ones and to explore the Christian faith in an informal, relaxed and friendly atmosphere."
The focus of the week's events will be a marquee for up to 500 people in the grounds of St David's Primary School.
The week will culminate in a donkey procession through Moreton on Sunday, April 4, with local children taking part.
