DO you have an hour or two to spare each week? The Vale of Evesham Volunteer Centre is seeking to recruit volunteers willing to befriend elderly and isolated individuals living in Evesham and outlying villages. All that is required is the willingness to make a regular commitment and a patient, sensitive and caring manner. If you think you could help please contact the centre manager on 01386 40165.

Have you suffered a stroke? Why not join Stroke 78 Social Club for bingo, outings, quizzes etc. They meet every third Tuesday of the month at the Coronation Hall, Evesham Community Hospital from 2pm to 4pm. For information contact Hilary on 01386 442910.

You could make a difference to someone's life if you can spare just two or three hours of your time regularly? Could you sit with someone, make a cup of tea and have a chat, so that a full-time carer can have some free time? If you live in Worcestershire and your answer is yes, then you are just the person Age Concern is looking for. Are you interested in the web? Say It Yourself, a local self-advocacy charity is looking for volunteers to help with its new interactive web site, SIY Online (www.siy.info). Roundabout are looking for lady volunteers to work in their busy office, answering the phone etc on Monday and Tuesday mornings; for information ring them direct on 01386 833030. They are also in urgent need of double beds to be passed on to local people in need.

The Worcestershire and Herefordshire Youth Offending Team needs volunteer mentors. Are you aged 21 or over and keen to contribute to your community?
