Pebworth and District

President Penny Bowen welcomed everyone to the meeting and wished members a Happy New Year. There were two visitors and several apologies. Members were told that the first Pebworth Walk had been a success and that another is planned early in the year.

The speaker for the evening came from Honeybourne Pottery. Members were treated to a demonstration and talk on how to produce realistic looking leaf dishes and plaques and interesting candleholders using natural materials as templates. The demonstrator used a variety of household implements to shape the clay, many of them having finished their useful lives. She completed the session by producing a model of a committee member lounging on a sofa with book and wine glass in hand. The finished fired and decorated model is eagerly awaited.
