DESPITE the weather conditions the Fed Up Challenge saw members who turned out enjoy an entertaining match with fish coming to the net frequently.

At the 'all out' it was Bill Scarrott who once again led the anglers home with a net of mainly crucian carp for 9.9.0.

In second place was Wayne Panting (9.5.0) and in third was Rita Barnett (8.5.0).

Members are reminded that the annual general meeting will take place on Friday, February 20 at the Crown Inn, Waterside starting at 8pm.

Evesham Jubilee Society

SATURDAY'S Open match at The Fishery was contested in difficult conditions.

The strong wind and cold water produced poor sport but it failed to stop Brian Bennett taking top spot.

The next Open is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Febr-uary 21.

There's a members' only match on Sunday in the Avon Shield Series.

The venue is the park lay-by at Defford Road, Pershore, draw 7.45am for 8am start.

Should the river not be fishable, the match will be switched to The Fishery. Check with match organiser Graeme Myt-ton.
