Evesham and District
Airgun League
THERE were few problems as Offenham maintained their unbeaten record after a comfortable victory at the George and Dragon against Nomads.
Steph Anderson registered her fourth league maximum of the league campaign for the league leaders, while Adam Shrimpton and Andrew Print both hit 45 for the losers.
The top trio all won and it's still the Lygon Arms who possess the biggest threat to Offen-ham's title challenge.
The second-placed side had only eight points to spare against Wickhamford who were undone by the brace of 47s recorded by Keith Harris and John Walker.
Stanton Club remain third after three of their players hit 47 in a 13-point defeat of visitors Bidford RBL.
Campden RBL recorded the week's biggest margin of victory as they moved above Wickh-amford into fourth place on the strength of a 276-252 success at Broadway. Bob Pitcher and Brian Wright both scored 49s for the winners.
While Campden boasted the widest winning margin, there was only two points between Bengeworth SSC and Badsey Rec.
Ashley Green's impressive 49 was all in vain as his side lost narrowly to hosts who had Fra-zer Wilks' 46 to thank for the two points.
Badsey RBL was the venue for the second leg of the challenge match against the Stratford League.
Evesham held a ten-point lead from the first contest to find the winners of the Avon Challenge Trophy and they extended their overall advantage to 19 with a second win.
Badsey's Green and Jamie Beadle both hit the maximum 35 for the winners, while Paul Clingan and Neil Benningfield did their best to get the visitors back into the contest with scores of 34.
