Course for rugby refs

YOU'VE seen the man in the middle. You've questioned his judgement, his eyesight, even his parentage. You think you could do better? Now here's your chance!

The Gloucestershire Warriors have a number of places available for people to go on a match officials course on Sundays, March 7 and 14 at University College, Worcester.

The cost of the two-day course is £25 (£12.50 for under 18s) and once successfully completed, you will be qualified to officiate at 13-a-side junior games.

Further development will be given to anybody interested in progressing to referee Rugby League Conference matches.

Rugby league is expanding enormously throughout the country and, to keep pace with this expansion of clubs, officials - particularly referees and coaches - are urgently required.

The course is interesting, fun and helps you find out more about yourself as well as enabling you to play a key role in the development of the sport in Great Britain.

If you are interested in attending the course, contact the Warriors at 30 Graylag Crescent, Walton Cardiff, Tewkesbury, Gloucester-shire GL20 7RR or telephone 01684 850903 (evgs).

The closing date for applications is next Monday, so hurry to sign up!
