Aerospace over moon after top flight win!

WHILE Mettis Aerospace were left flying high, victims Campden Town were on a real downer after last weekend's top flight action in the Stratford Alliance.

The reigning Journal Premier Division champions succumbed by the odd goal of three to their championship rivals. Matt Hill and Jon Ingram netted for the winners with Matt Tye replying for Campden.

Rich Foreman banged in a hat-trick as FISSC won 4-1 at Henley Forest in the only other match in the section to beat the weather.

Two matches in Herald Division One also fell victim to the elements, but three goals apiece for Campden Town Reserves and Blockley Sports earned the teams victories over Bidford and Tysoe United respectively.

Only one match was cancelled in Cutler Division Two on an afternoon when Littleton's title hopes received a boost.

Sam Huckvale and Ryan Scott both netted twice in a 5-0 win for the title chasers over Red Alert, while Cubbington slumped to a surprise defeat at FISSC.

Long Compton collected three more welcome points courtesy of Jon Smith's strike against Kenilworth Town, Shipston had four different scorers in a 4-0 win over Ilmington, while Sam Lindley scored the only goal as Badsey Rangers overcame struggling Park Tavern.

The day's remaining two games saw Quinton and Ship-ston Excelsior both make knockout progress.

The former defeated Badsey United Reserves 3-2 with goals from Jim Bunn, Jon Moore and Chris Valentino, while Scott Smith and Andy Miles found the net as top flight Shipston struggled past first division Ilmington Revo-lution.
