World Cup star is a hit with pupils

ENGLAND Rugby World Cup hero Trevor Woodman scored a big hit with pupils at The Cotswold School in Bourton last week.

The England and Gloucester prop, who is due to fly out with the England team to Rome for the opening six nations championship match against Italy on Saturday, spent about 90 minutes touring the school, chatting to pupils and staff and signing autographs.

Head teacher Ann Holland said: "We were thrilled that he could fit us in. Some of the children were ecstatic really because her is such a hero for them."

During his visit, Trevor, who was part of the World Cup winning squad, cut a ribbon to open the new £1.5million 14-classroom block for modern languages, history and English.
