Woman flees as midnight sex attacker strikes

A woman was indecently assaulted as she walked along the High Street in Moreton last Thursday evening.

The woman, aged 35, who lives locally, was walking along the High Street around midnight when she noticed a man near the toy shop. She walked past him and was grabbed from behind and assaulted.

After a struggle she managed to break away and contacted police. Despite a search of the area the attacker was not found.

The victim described her attacker as white, aged between 30 and 40, of stocky build and around five foot four inches tall.

He had grey, receding hair and was clean shaven and wearing oval-shaped silver rimmed glasses.

He had a gold watch on his right wrist and was wearing a dark T-shirt, light coloured jeans and white trainers.

Police think it is possible he had been drinking in a local pub or restaurant.
