AN 83-year-old man from the Bristol area was killed when his car was in collision with a 7.5 tonne lorry on the A429 at Bourton last Monday.
The man, who has not been named, was declared dead at the scene.
A female passenger in the Peugeot saloon car was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The lorry driver, a man from Warwickshire, was badly shaken but otherwise unhurt.
The accident happened just before 10.30am near Turkdean, an area known locally as Leygore Bottom.
Road closures were put in place at the A40 Northleach roundabout and the junction of the A429 and the A436 at Bourton Bridge.
The road was reopened at about 4pm.
Cotswold coroner Lester Madrell has been informed and an inquest was expected to be opened and adjourned yesterday.
