Why is this necessary?

Aren't politicians wonderful? While their boss, Michael Howard, is trying to shake off his reputation as a Dracula-like figure by proclaiming his support for the poor, old and under-privileged, Wychavon Conservatives do the opposite.

No concessions for the over 60s in travel unless it is legally necessary.

A conservative phrase - 'A Double Whammy' - is also coming home to roost. Not only are the concessions being removed but the charges for Car Parking are being increased at the same time.

Why is it necessary to remove the concessions completely? A 50% reduction would have been less divisive.

As for the abuse claim, I would think that Wychavon could slide out of all its non-legal obligations if it determined their payment by the absence of abuse. I await the next weasel-like announcement.
