WELFORD members took part in a match at Solihull IBC against a Warwickshire President's side.

The Four of R Allen, A Hogg, B Whamond and P Churchley were leading 21-20 after 20 ends but the President's rink drew two shots on the final end to register the narrowest of victories and earn the county a 118-104 success.

The club's ladies faced the English Women's Association President's touring side who ran out 105-94 winners.

The hosts managed to draw on a couple of rinks thanks to the efforts of M Adams, P Bennett, M Bliss and H Adler (17-17) and B Williams, M Donaldson, M Woodhall and N Wells (15-15).
