Chocolates chip in for charity

WITH Easter just over six weeks away, residents of Blockley were given an early chance to stock up on Easter eggs in aid of charity this week.

Village resident Olive Turner held her sixth annual chocolate party at her home in the High Street on Tuesday to raise money for the Cobalt Unit Appeal Fund.

The charity buys diagnostic and radiotherapy cancer treatment equipment for the Cobalt unit at Cheltenham General Hospital.

Over the years Olive's party, at which local people can buy and order chocolates, including Easter eggs, has raised more than £1,200 on behalf of the Blockley and Moreton Cobalt Appeal Support Group.
