So close for Clive

Paxford Garage owner Clive Wadey went to Darley Moor for a weekend meeting, where he battled both days with his main rivals for the championship, Steve Cave from Liverpool and Rob Eley from Huddersfield, all riding a GSX 1170cc Suzuki's.

With a full grid of 36 for each race, Wadey had three wins and a dead heat for first but it was given to Cave by one-500th of a second by electronic trnsponders which are on the bikes.

Castle Coombe is the next meeting on August 21.
