Next date for grass racers

THE next meeting of the Cotswold Youth Grasstrack Club takes place on Sunday, September 12 at James's Farm, Ashdown Farm, Badsey.

There are numerous classes available at each of the club's six local meetings that ultimately determine the club champion.

This year's winner will receive his prize at the presentation evening at Moreton-in-Marsh British Legion on Saturday, November 13, when the main topic of discussion could be a venue for next year's racing.

Racing is open to children and young adults aged six to 16, providing competitive fun, entertainment and an enjoyable day out for the whole family.

The club is desperate for a field to race on in 2005 and are appealing to any one in the Vale of Evesham who has a fairly level grass/stubble field on which an oval track measuring at least 150m wide and 250m long can be prepared.
