A magic show

BIRMINGHAM'S Hippodrome theatre will be the venue for a celebration of the music, dance and the magic of Haiti.

Vodou Nation is a glimpse into the flamboyant and mysterious culture of the troubled Caribbean republic, which celebrated the 200th anniversary of its successful slave revolt this year.

Featuring the voodoo rock band RAM, led by Richard Morse of the Hotel Olafson in Port au Prince, the evening is the last show in the theatre's Wide World season.
