Broadway best again

BROADWAY United have been crowned champions of the Prince Henry's Summer Five-a-Side League for the second successive season.

However, the eventual winners received a shock in the opening top four play-off match when they lost 4-3 to Baldie's Bears.

The Bears, though, were unable to maintain that level of performance and lost to Shibby Tigers by the only goal of the game.

Father and Sons won the Bottom Four Play-off final after a 2-0 penalty shoot-out success after a 4-4 draw with S'Porter.

Leon Tompkins, goalkeeper with the Bears was awarded the medal for Best Player, while Charlie Jelfs of Bomfords took the Players' Player medal for the second consecutive season.
