Sharks secure new deal

STRATFORD Sharks have secured sponsorship to the tune of £7,000 for the forthcoming year.

This amount is made up of £3,500 from SITEL Direct and has been matched pound for pound by the Institute of Sports Spons-orship through its Sportsmatch scheme.

Club chairman John Betteridge said: "We are very grateful to both organisations as this sponsorship will enable us to invest in our educational programme and provide better support for our instructors."

As one of Stratford's largest employers, SITEL Direct is delighted to be sponsoring Stratford Sharks.

Managing director, Kevin Cordray, said "SITEL is very keen to be involved in the local community and we recognise the huge contribution that Stratford Sharks have made to the provision of sporting activities for the young people in the South Warwick-shire area.

"We look forward to a long and successful partnership with and would like to wish the club every success."

SITEL Direct (formally known as Merit Direct) has been based in Stratford Upon Avon for over 17 years and now operates from three buildings along Timothy's Bridge Road, offering contact centre and fulfilment services to a wide variety of clients, many of which are household names.

The Leisure Centre-based swimming club was formed by the amalgamation of Stratford-on-Avon ASC and Avon Neptune ASC.

It now provides its 350 plus members aged between five and 70 with year round activities across a broad spectrum of swimming based activities.

The club's teaching section has developed a worthy reputation throughout the region and its life-saving section is second to none in South Warwickshire.
