A 50-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of growing cannabis plants following a police raid on a house in Mickleton on Monday. Police officers who took part in the raid, at around 10am, confiscated plants growing in an outbuilding. Horticultural equipment including heat lamps and fans was also seized.
The man, who lives locally, was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and was taken to Stroud police station for questioning. He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
The man is due to report back to Stroud police station on September 22.
