Fun for family

THERE'S a fun day at Tewkesbury Rugby Club on Sunday when the club's Tigers stage its annual recruitment and fund raising event.

The day starts at 12 noon when there will be a barbecue, tombola, cake stall and various competitions including a kicking event and tug of war.

Newcomers are invited along to take a look at the facilities on offer at The Moats where around 120 youngsters helped the club enjoy a superb season last winter.

More of the same is anticipated during the forthcoming campaign and teams are sent out on to the field from under-8 to under-17s.

Training and matches take place on Sunday mornings from 10am, starting on September 5, while training for older age group has already started on Friday nights from 6.30pm.
