Reds top standings

CROPTHORNE and Evesham Vale Riding Club sent three teams to Bromsgrove to compete in the Riding Clubs Mercian League Show Jump-ing and Equitation Jumping events.

The Red team of Helen Goodwin, Helen Stock, Margaret Boyd and Yvonne Goss won the Equitation Jumping, while the Blue team finished fifth.

Individually, Helen Goodwin was placed first, Helen Stock second and Yvonne Goss fifth.

In the show jumping class, the Red team was placed fifth with Goss individually third, Ian Paxton fourth and Helen Goodwin sixth.

The league events continue with a one-day event next month and, in October, the awarding of the Mercian Trophy to the club scoring the highest points throughout the season.
