A TRIO of junior sides locked horns at Bidford in the Finals Pool of the Pru-dden Road Surfacing Junior Cup competition.
Ilmington, who had qualified as best runners-up, were unable to field a side so it was left to pool winners Studley, Inkberrow and Shipston-on-Stour to battle it out.
In the first of the one set matches, Inkberrow's Ric-ky Allan and Chris Smith defeated the Studley pair of Jack Allum and Lee Fuller 6-3.
Shipston then stepped forward to play the losers and Andrew Moss and Marcus Ireland were in top form to record a 6-0 success.
In the final fixture of the evening, with both clubs having already qualified for the final, Inkberrow and Shipston played for the honour of winning the group.
The former ran out 6-4 victors and the pair now meet again in a best of three sets final to be played alongside the men's Floo-dlit Pairs Final at Strat-ford-upon-Avon TC on Sunday, September 5 starting at 5.20pm.
