THE Youth Activity Week-end, organised by Wychavon Kayak and Canoe Club, in conjunction with Worcester-shire Youth Service and supported by Worcestershire County Council, was hailed a success by the 181 participants.
Kayaking attracted most of the participants, while canoeing, bell boating, archery, climbing wall and dragon boats offered people the opportunity to try other activities.
Around 90 participants attended each day with the largest age group for 12 to 15-year-olds, that amounted to more than 47 per cent of all participants. The oldest, meanwhile, was 60 and the youngest four!
More than 120 hailed from Pershore with the remainder came from Worcester, Tewk-esbury, Stourport, Redditch, Malvern, Kidderminster, Evesham and Droitwich.
Organisers were grateful for the help of all the volunteers who gave their time to ensure the event was a success.
Wychavon Kayak and Can-oe Club is based in Pershore and meets every Thursday.
