FORTY-FIVE clubs have played in the Travel Factory Alliance since the league was formed ten seasons ago and Stratford Town have now been involved in the most matches.

Tuesday's game at Quorn was the club's 409th outing and that left them clear of Rushall Olympic, whose midweek clash was postponed.

The two old rivals top the most appearances in the Alliance with the Masons Road men now having won six more than the side they have defeated twice already this season and picking up five more points.

Boldmere St Michaels top the points aggregate with 649 from 407 matches, while this Saturday's visitors to Masons Road, Barwell, have played the same number but collected 34 fewer points.

Willenhall, the team that pipped Town to promotion last term, would have equalled Rushall's appearance record had they not earned a rise in status. The Noose Lane outfit have taken 640 points from their 402 matches.

Oldbury United are just one match behind Stratford and Rushall, while Staffordshire pair Biddulph Vics and Chasetown have featured in 406 Alliance fixtures.

Town have scored 708 goals in their Alliance career to also top the goals aggregate totals, while conceding 546. Willenhall have scored four and conceded 22 fewer, while Pelsall Villa's goal difference of minus 255 is the worst from their 328 Alliance outings that have produced just 82 wins.

The Masons Road men have managed 105 more successes, while drawing 86 and losing 136 of their record number of matches.
