Tim's torture

A PUNCTURE in Sunday's final race at the British Under-21 Championships cost Aston Magna biker Tim Nobes runner-up spot at the prestigious event.

The Cotswolds teenager was resigned to pushing his machine across the line at Folkestone to enable him to complete the race and claim fourth place overall.

Despite the last-ditch disappointment, Nobes has enjoyed a superb season and his efforts last weekend typified the skills and spirit that has made him one of the top young riders in the country.
