EVESHAM'S league squad played host to Redditch in their latest Worcester Inter-League contest.

It was two months after their previous fixture and the home side badly needed a good result to stay in contention for honours alongside the Worcester Dream Team.

And, a good result was what they achieved as the hosts recorded an emphatic 14-7 margin of victory after they had been restricted to a 4-3 advantage after the opening seven frames.

However, they romped to a 6-1 success in the second and then consolidated their position with another 4-3 frame win the third session.

Kevin Lewis, Max Chambers and Ben Kings all won their three frames and they were helped to victory by teammates C Mills, A Griffiths, P Griffiths, R Barlow, J Barker, P Groom, D Gill and D Wellings.

Evesham's next game is on Sunday, October 31 when they visit the Dream Team for a game that will probably decide the destiny of the title.
