    MUSIC SOCIETY: Shipston Music Society members have enjoyed two events this month. On February 18 they attended a Beethoven Concert at Warwick Arts Centre given by the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. A magnificent performance of the Piano Concerto No 4 was followed by the (Pastoral) Symphony No 6. The society regularly arranges trips to outside musical events during the season. read more

    TODDLER GROUP: Willersey Toddler Group meets every Friday during term time from 9.30am to 11.30am in Willersey Village Hall where children enjoy painting, nursery rhymes, singing and dancing, as well as a wide variety of toys while mothers get time for a chat over coffee.     WEDNESDAY CLUB: On January 21, the first meeting for 2004, Wing Commander F Culliford (retired) known to everyone as Cully, gave a talk about his lifetime of service, where he talked about the first four years of his 39-year career. At an early age he decided after talking to a friend that the RAF was the career for him so in January 1939 at the age of 15 he signed on a three-year apprenticeship and chose to become a wireless and electrical engineer. read more

    ROYAL BRITISH LEGION WOMENS' SECTION: The February meeting was opened by chairman Wendy Griffiths. The secretary, treasurer and sick visitor reports were given followed by the raffle and 150 club draw. After refreshments Marion Freeman gave a talk and slide show of Old Pershore. The next meeting is on Tuesday, March 2 and Elaine Shaw will give a talk on Diet and Nutrition. Old and new members welcome. read more
