PARISH COUNCIL: At the parish council meeting held on September 15, the first item on the agenda was the proposed building development(s) along Leys Road. The present position is that the applications for both these developments are now with Wychavon planning officers and their decision is awaited with some trepidation but, meanwhile, there is reported activity on the question of flooding. It will be remembered that a small sub-committee of the PC was formed to liaise with the group of people who attended an explorative meeting at the Civic Centre, Pershore, last month - a group consisting of officers from Worcestershire County Council, Wychavon District Council, the Severn Trent Water and two other councillors, Clive Holt and Don Lawley. All those present at that meeting undertook to investigate their own particular areas of responsibility and report back. read more
