Month of hold-ups for road improvements

ROAD and footpath improvements costing £90,000 will begin on Monday on Bourton High Street.

The work will be carried out on the road and footpaths and will include minor alterations to street lighting and signs.

The work between Green Lake Close and Rectory Lane will last until January 28.

Chris Franklin, operations manager of the Cotswold Division, said the road would be closed during the work with a diversion route via the A429 Station Road. "During this project there will be minor delays to motorists.

"I would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused, however once completed the public will benefit from a safe and high quality road surface."
