Moreton Rgrs U-12 3, Bloxham 2
THE Moreton boys took all three points after a thrilling encounter.
In extremely windy conditions, Moreton started the brighter as they camped themselves in the opposition half.
But, on five minutes, they were undone by a classic counter attack that beat the offside trap.
A striker was left with only Paul White-house to beat and the home goalkeeper was adjudged to have brought down the Bloxham player.
The resultant penalty struck the bar but bounced kindly for an alert attacker to open the scoring.
It didn't take Moreton long to bounce back when David Nieman was put through with only the keeper to beat. The shot bounced back off the stopper to Matty Magee who made no mistake to bring the game level.
Bloxham took the lead again against the run of play courtesy of a wicked deflection that left White-house helpless.
The second half started as if there were 11 new players on the pitch for the home side with the midfield dominating the game.
Gary Luker, Zac Fagg, Josh Kyte and Harry Peters won everything while the defence of James Hicks, Tim Firth, Robbie Shurmer and Tom Barry didn't give the visitors a sniff at goal.
It wasn't long before Rangers drew level when a Bloxham defender was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area. Firth saw the keeper make a smart save but he followed up to net the rebound.
Moreton deservedly scored a third when Hicks gave a perfect through ball to Magee who made no mistake to secure all three points.
Evesham Utd U-11 10,
Charlton Rvrs 0
UNITED kept their title hopes on course with a convincing display against spirited opponents.
Henry Woods opened the scoring with a shot from the edge of the area following a pass from Bryn Tomes.
Tom Evans and Elliot Grady then set up Woods to score his second, before Evans made it three having been put through by James Bearcroft.
Playing with the wind the floodgates opened in the second half as Evesham made use of their wingers.
Bearcroft crossed for George Darling to lob the keeper, before the provider found the net himself from Sam Ford's cross.
Bearcroft then crossed for Woods to complete his hat-trick, before the striker snatched his fourth from the narrowest of angles following a short corner from Evans.
Louis Brown latched on to a loose ball in midfield and carried it into the goal area, before picking his spot.
Elliot Grady then got on the scoresheet twice, first taking the ball on a run from the halfway line to beat the keeper and then producing a neat volley after a defender had headed the ball off the line.
Credit is also due to the Evesham defence and goalkeeper Leon Ballard for keeping a third consecutive clean sheet.
