DARREN George snatched the goal that sent Stratford Spartak crashing out of the Nursing Home Cup last Saturday.

The Journal Division One side lost out to second division promotion chasers Alcester Lions on a day when the other three ties went with the formbook.

Littleton banged in nine goals at Bidford, while Henley Forest Reserves scored seven times against Blockley with Carl McKenzie grabbing a hat-trick.

The other clash saw an expected, but far from comfortable, win for Badsey Rangers over their own second string with Dan Miller and Rich Hall finding the net in a 2-0 win.

Long Compton's Cutler Division three title hopes were dealt a blow when they went down 5-3 to Dog and Pheasant for whom Rich Skan was again among the goals with four in his side's 5-3 success.

Halfords and Ilmington bagged 20 goals between them in 12-1 and 8-1 defeats of Red Alert and Welford respectively with Usman Jolloh netting three for Revolution and Adam Taylor going one better for Halfords.

Ilmington's senior side moved three points clear in the top flight after a 4-1 win at FISSC who are now rooted to the foot of the table after Sou-tham's 2-1 win over Henley Forest.

The other first division game saw Badsey United and Quin-ton take a point apiece from a 1-1 draw.

The top two in Herald Divi-sion One both scored four times in comfortable victories, results that leave Bidford four points clear of Cubbington.

Studley Nags Head moved on to the fringe of the promotion pack after a 6-1 win at home to Badsey United Reserves.
