Rape trial date

AN Aston Magna man accused of raping a 17-year-old girl will be tried in June, Gloucester Crown Court was told on Tuesday.

Randall du Plessis, aged 22, of Churchview, would contest the case, said Andrew Bowder, prosecuting.

Judge Jamie Tabor QC bailed Plessis to return to Gloucester Crown Court to enter his plea to the charge on April 15 this year. His trial has been set for June 6.
