A PLAN to split a former bed and breakfast business into two homes in Bourton has been refused.
The decision was taken by Cotswold District Council's planning committee following a site visit to the property at Station Villas.
Residents had expressed fears that dividing the access to the building into two would force cars to reverse onto Station Road.
Councillor John Birch agreed.
He said: "The access is close to a tight bend in the road and would be difficult to use."
"This exit is far too dangerous."
The applicants, Elizabeth and Nigel Marshall, had argued that a patch of county council owned land could be used to manoeuvre onto, but councillors felt that the long-term use of this land could not be guaranteed.
