FOUR charities are set to benefit from a group's most successful Christmas fund-raising campaign .
The North Cotswold Rotary Club collected £6,000 over the festive season with events ranging from a concert by the Army Air Corps Band to car parking supervision during Bourton's Victorian shopping evening.
The cash will be divided between the Friends of Moore Cottage Hospital, Cotswold Victim Support, Age Concern and the British Heart Foundation.
Representatives from the charities will update Rotarians on their recent activities when the cheques are handed over at the Unicorn Hotel in Stow next Tuesday evening.
The Rotary club has also reported unexpected success in its appeal for items to send to tsunami-hit regions. An appeal for things to put into 'aqua-boxes' - supply carriers that double as water reservoirs and purification units - has yielded enough for 16 boxes, rather than the 11 originally planned for.
