PARISH COUNCIL: The latest meeting was on February 21.
Website: It was now ready for relevant information to be added. It was agreed that if a more professional site was justified it could be budgeted for next year.
Parish plan: The chairman is to try to find village champions for this plan and get them involved at the annual parish meeting on April 25.
VE/VJ Celebrations: Cllr Cross reported mixed interest around the village and it was agreed to speak to the Walkabout to see if an activity could be added to the weekend.
Fladbury Cross verge: WCC Cllr Eyre agreed to report back to WCC that a grass verge was preferred to the urbanised footpath proposed, however, it was thought that this might not be possible as the minor widening of the road appeared to be more than originally indicated. Concerns were expressed that, although the council agreed to a layout, this could be changed substantially by delegated powers at a later date without any reference back.
Traffic census: Cropthorne and Charlton councils are to be approached about the concerns of a rat run through the villages and whether to ask for an origin and destination study.
Station Road verge damage: WCC Cllr Eyre agreed to see how the problem, which was common in Worcestershire, could be addressed. It was noted that this problem had arisen over the past two years.
Farm Street access: The highways department said there was little it could do. PC Stuart Toms is to be asked to take a look at the situation at 5pm one day and advise the council.
Pugh's haulage site usage: The WDC enforcement officer had reported that the current site usage was consistent with its history and that tree planting which was under way would help disguise the site. The view from Cropthorne was a cause for concern.
Planning: approval had been given for the single-storey side extension at Glen Villa, Payne's Lane and the single storey timber garage/workshop at Oxton Organics, Broadway Lane.
Footpaths: Holes in the roadway at Butcher's Walk needed attention. Tree roots in Butcher's Walk are to be dealt with by the end of March. The footpaths behind the Chequers Inn were discussed.
Parking on The Green: Parking was reported on The Green outside the Anchor and it was agreed that the clerk would speak to the landlord.
BAA Car Park: It was reported that there was a great deal of rubbish on the car park and it was agreed that the clerk should write to the BAA.
Next meeting: Monday, March 21 at the Sports Pavilion at 7.30pm.
