SECOND Division Bredon reached the last four of the Birdseye Sports Evesham and District Sunday League's Tewkesbury Sports Cup with a surprise 3-2 win at division one Bear FC.
Martin Hill struck twice with Jack Christian netting another, and Bear replied through Slade and Print. Bredon, who were handed a place in the last eight when previous opponents Bretforton Sports played an ineligible player, will play Evesham WMC in the semi-final, the Workies winning at Norgren with Mark Haughty hitting a double.
Bretforton will play their County Cup final at Common Road on Sunday, April 10 (6pm)
Mountinneers progressed in the Evesham Mechanical Services Subsidiary Cup, hitting seven passed Defford/Besford Utd, with Rowland and Morse both scoring twice.
There was disappointment for Moreton Wanderers as they were narrowly defeated in their GFA Sunday Premier Cup semi-final by FC Patriots. Wanderers dominated the second half but were left to rue a missed penalty.
Ambassador moved to the top of division one, hitting nine passed a depleted Mickleton Rangers, the highlight being five from Danny James. Upton Snodsbury won their local derby with Inkberrow thanks to goals from Smith and Rogers.
Six from Chris Alcock maintained Broadway Utd's promotion push from division two as they hit double figures against Golden Cross, and Lower Moor Utd and Badsey Rec shared 14 goals with Chris Attwood scoring three for Lower Moor and David Stanbra hitting five for Badsey.
A Stuart McCash second half strike gave division three leaders Tewkesbury Town the points at Moreton Town while Bretforton Old Boys ran riot at Pebworth, with the season's highest score of 18, with both Gregory and Brown hitting five.
Recent signing Ben Uren hit seven as Hampton WMC put 11 past Queens, and Hatchett and Hibbert both struck twice as Crowle defeated Ashton.
Broadway Utd Res recorded their first league win of the season, Phelps striking twice as United overcame Wickhamford.
Division Four leaders Pinvin Utd were held at Riverside, second placed George FC defeated Crown Athletic thanks to a Williams double, and Bell Utd stayed in touch with the leaders as goals from Hollins and Harrison defeated Gate Inn.
Doubles from Bostock and Payne gave Eckington the points against Lenches Lions while Royal Oak overcame Cidermill.
