Last chance for trophies

Evesham Jubilee AS

THE last match of the season on Sunday at the Fishery is at 7.45am for 8am. The draw features the Last Chance Cup and final of the Tom Pitcher Shield between Stu Thomson and Barry Stayte.

The overall Punchbowl Winter Aggregate Trophies will also be decided. Positions are close and all members are urged to attend for a fair result.

Evesham DAA

THE open match on Saturday is a qualifier for the EA Festival Wychavon Championships.

Book in with local tackle shops or Diana at the Hampton Ferry.

Gather at the Ferry caf at 9am, fishing is for five hours on Common Road Town Waters and Ferry.

E & DAA Juniors and Intermediates

ROB Tingle Canal Series, round five, Stoke Bishop, on Saturday:

The overall results for the Rob Tingle Junior Trophy are: 1 Will Beasley 99 points; 2 Mark Malin, 98; 3 equal Simon Pickering, Lee Harvey, 57; 5 Anna Blyth, 49.

The next match is the first round of the Baguley tree match series at Manor Farm on Saturday, April 9, draw 9am. Cups have been introduced this year for the winning intermediate and adult, as well as the junior.

EDAA

KEN Gibbons (Bidford Gold) won the final round of the winter league from peg 52 with 10-10-0 of chub on the waggler.

Second was Nigel Groome (Baitbox Black) with roach and perch from peg 16 and third Mick Brooks on peg 18 with skimmer bream.

Teams on the day: 1 EWMC 10 points, 2 Jubilee Bronze 15, 3 Bidford Gold 16.

Final league positions: 1 Jubilee Silver 41 points, 2 EWMC 53, 3 Baitbox Black 60.

Evesham WMC

MEMBERS are reminded that the last match of the season, the non-winners and the final leg of the winter league, will take place at the club's water at Cropthorne, draw 7.30am.

Robin Locke is leading with 125 points then Phil Preston 120 and Vic Woods 113. This year's presentation is on April 16 and all members past and present are welcome. The winter league team won the final leg of the EDAA winter league.
