On track for success

TEWKESBURY teenagers Chris and Matt Dittman have started the 2005 Kart Racing season in fine style at the Rissington circuit.

Mat (13) was pipped for top spot in the Minimax opener in his Birel/Rotax, while brother Chris (15) also had to settle for runners-up spot in the Rotax Max category. He did have the consolation of setting the fastest lap alongside winner Richard Hughes.

Chris was crowned Junior Rotax champion at the Cotswolds circuit last year, while his younger brother finished third overall in the Minimax Championship.

Both youngsters are in action at Shenington, near Banbury this weekend in the final round of the Winter Series.

The boys are actively involved in the preparation and maintenance of their own karts with the help and guidance of dad Pete. However, they are seeking sponsorship to enable them to compete nationally and in Europe. If you can help then ring Pete at Mann Autoservices on 01684 273911.
