TEWKESBURY Swimming Club confirmed its competitive edge with yet another powerful performance at the County Championships.
Christopher Yoxall was crowned junior champion in the 100m individual medley with an age group best ever time and he followed this up with a repeat performance in the 200m IM.
His times of 2.19.59 in the 200m and 1.02.31 in the 100m broke county records that had stood for eight years, previously held by ex-Tewkesbury and England junior Christopher Jones.
In fact the whole club was right on the pace, with 85 swims seeing 64 personal, one season's best times.
It was no surprise then that the club netted an impressive haul of six gold medals, ten silver and nine bronze.
The first event was the 200m freestyle for girls and Jess Rogers got the gala off to the best possible start with a personal best time of 2.17.18 taking gold in her age group.
Laura Kentfield and Jessica Bayliffe both touched fourth, while Emma Rogers took the bronze medal in a pb of 2.18.37. Lewis Cole took bronze in the 200m IM in a new personal best of 2.23.43 before Yoxall stepped up to take gold.
Next came the boys 200m breaststroke and Craig Skinner smashed his personal best time to take silver in a time of 3.24.25. Skinner then added to his haul of medals with a bronze in the 200m freestyle.
Rogers then took gold in the 200m IM in a new personal best time of 2.33.33 with Jessica Bayliffe and Emma Rogers taking silver and bronze in their respective age groups.
There was more success in the boys 400m IM with bronze for Ashley Dougan.
The 100m individual medley brought gold for Jess Rogers and silver for Emma with Lauren Blake and Jessica Bayliffe claiming bronze.
Not to be outdone Skinner was back in the thick of the action with another silver this time in the 50m butterfly.
Jess Rogers struck gold again in the girls 400m Individual Medley, while Harriet Parker, Emma Rogers and Lauren Blake all took silver.
The last two events for the boys were the 200m IM and the 100m freestyle and saw Yoxall collect gold before adding a bronze in the championship final.
Cole won a further silver along with Dougan and Skinner taking the last bronze for boys.
The last girls event was the 50m butterfly and Amy Cooke completed a magnificent gala with a well deserved silver.
