Marriott out at Mollington

WHEN the dust has finally settled at Prestbury Park following the Cheltenham Festival, it will be back to the more sedate surroundings of the Point-to-Point field when the Grafton Hunt meeting takes centre stage at Mollington on Sunday.

The feature race will include Mr Smudge, third in the race last year for the Chipping Norton stable of Fran Marriott, while stablemate Eastern Apple goes in the Confined Maiden.

Other Cotswolds hopes lie with Paddies Boy, trained by Jon Trice-Rolph at Todenham, and Dunston Bill from Kim Smyly's Stanton yard.

Besides Paddies Boy in the Mens Open, Trice-Rolph has Himalayan Trail and Tapping The Coffin in the Confined Maiden.

Smyly, meanwhile, has Billywill in the Confined and Sulalah Sunrise in the Confined Maiden.

Ettington trainer Fred Hutsby runs Westerton in the Confined, Sovereign Dove in the Restricted and Glen Orchy in the Confined Maiden.

The first race gets under way at 1pm and more information is available by ringing Talking Point on 09068 446061.
