Evesham Academy 5,
GlosCAT 0
EARLY pressure meant that it was only a matter of time before Evesham scored and the breakthrough came when Danny Deehan's thro-ugh ball led to Shaun Stanley netting after 35 minutes.
The hosts continued to dominate but hadn't added to their advantage when the interval whistle blew.
Coach, Geoff Samuels replaced keeper Darren Knurek with Daryl Betley at the break after which it took Evesham just ten minutes to double their lead when Stanley forced the ball over the line after Joey Tustain had headed on a corner from Chris Davies.
A third goal followed five minutes later when a through ball picked out Daryl Ballard's run and he shot first time to score past an exposed the GlosCAT custodian.
The game was over but Evesham kept at it and added a fourth 15 minutes from time when Stanley ran on to a Tustain pass to notch his second successive hat-trick.
The rout was completed late on when Stanley's persistence led to Daryl Ballard firing home from 12 yards.
Quality defending, with Mark Bellamy in fine form, helped keep out the visitors and left the winners with a well deserved clean sheet.
