A celebration of Nelson's victory

AN Easter concert is being staged by The Alcester Singers on Saturday.

The Imperial Nelson Mass by Haydn has been chosen for the programme, commemorating the 200th anniversary of Nelson's victory at Trafalgar, as well as the Bach Magnificat.

A dozen new members of the choir have swelled the ranks to more than 60 for the concert, which is being staged at St Nicholas' Church in Alcester at 7.30pm. Tickets, £10, are available from Tony Homer on 01789 762487 or Lesley Marton on 01789 764650.
