A DOZEN talented children from all over the Stratford area are making ready for the opening of a new musical, Alice! being staged in town next week.
More than 50 youngsters turned out for auditions for the musical and the lucky 12 were selected to play alongside the 20-strong adult cast, including some professional performers, who have been chosen for the show, which runs from March 23 to 27.
Alice is being played by Louise Sutton from Hampton Magna, who attends Stagecoach in Solihull and sings with the West Midlands Choir.
"This was really a case of first among equals," said director Wilson Roberts. "These are all gifted children and each of them will be given parts to play."
Half the children are from the Stratford area and the others come from Blockley, Bidford, Henley, Droitwich and Castle Bromwich.
The show is being staged at Stratford Civic Hall. Call the box office on 01789 207100 for tickets.
