Quad bikers get on track

A QUARTET of quad bikers from Moreton-in-Marsh were in British Championship action in Devon last weekend.

The racers were competing in the first round of the 2005 British Enduro Endurance Cham-pionships, staged in conjunction with the Quad Racing Association, and Michael Righton completed the three-hour race in a fabulous sixth place.

Brother Henry finished ninth after a gruelling time around the four-mile woodland track at Musberry, while fellow Cotswolds racers Jono Dudfield and Simon Whitworth came in 19th and 32nd respectively out of a 75-strong field.

The men will be back on track at Axminster on April 10 before taking their machines closer to home with a visit to Manor Farm at Long Compton (10am start) for the third round of the championship.
