Moreton Rgrs U-12 4,
Wychwood Boys 1
MORETON'S boys weren't at their usual best in Sunday's last game of the season but, having won the league the previous week, they still managed to win with ease.
They started well and scored their first goal after only five minutes when the ball fell at Josh Keyte's feet and he volleyed the ball into the top corner.
Rangers, though, failed to turn their dominance into goals with some wayward passing and had to settle for only a one-goal lead at the interval.
The second half saw them start the brighter but still failed to make inroads to the visitors' goal until Paul Whitehouse gave the ball to Zac Fagg who in turn put the ball out wide to Harry Bates who picked out Matty Magee in the box and he made no mistake.
Wychwood never gave up though and a neat headed goal midway through the second half reduced the arrears.
Moreton made some changes and Sam Johnson picked the ball up from Tim Firth. He fed Magee on the left who cut inside and beat two defenders before calmly slotting the ball past the keeper.
Four minutes from time, Magee picked the ball up on the edge of the area and turned his man before firing in a rasping shot to collect his successive second hat-trick and sea a comfortable victory for the home side.
