The first fund-raising event was Kathy's drive-in on March 12 which raised £87.

On March 23 the competition for the Spring Chicken Cup was played, for players over 55, and was won by Judy Harden with Lucy Barnard runner-up.

Gloucestershire Golf Union

GLOUCESTERSHIRE Golf Union's second team to play Worcestershire seconds in a friendly at Droitwich on Sunday is: Paul Jenkins (Kendleshire), Andy Hale (Chipping Sodbury), Shane Winstone (Knowle), Andy Ryan (Kendleshire), Neil Dean (Minchinhampton), Jason Cuff (Knowle), Chris Evans (Kendleshire), Spencer Vickery (Kendleshire), James Mitten (Lilley Brook), Nick Glasspool (Knowle).

Many just missed out on a first team place this weekend against Worcestershire and a good showing could easily propel them into Gloucestershire's first defence of their Channel League title against Devon at Long Ashton on April 10.
