Solo success for track star Tim

TIM Nobes made a winning start to the new biking season with victory at his first meeting of the year.

The 18-year-old from Aston Magna was in action at the South Western Centre Solo Open Championships seeing off a top-class field to take top spot.

Nobes was then aboard his RTS Viper Jawa in the solo 500cc event when he completed a profitable time on the track when crossing the line second after recording the fastest time of the day.

The Cotswolds racer is next in action at Worcester on Sunday, April 17.
