VALE racers Dave Loudoun and Amy Chambers were in track action at the opening round of this year's inaugural ELF Renault Clio Cup at Donington Park.
Loudoun, making a comeback after several years out of the sport, qualified in 15th place for both rounds.
The Evesham motor dealer drove excellently and enjoyed an entertaining scrap with Michael Doyle.
What was even more intriguing about the tussle was that Loudoun is the event's oldest competitor at 52, while 17-year-old Doyle is the youngest.
Loudoun emerged unscathed from the battle to claim seventh in round one and 11th in round two.
Chambers, on the other hand, qualified at the back of the grid - 17th position - for each race.
And, while some drivers lost their heads, the Pershore girl (above) concentrated on not making any mistakes and ended up tenth in the opener.
Sadly, she failed to finish in the second race when a broken fuel pump prompted an early retirement.
The pair will be in action at the next round at Thruxton on Saturday and Sunday, April 30 and May 1.
