Appeal after woman dies

AN 82-year-old pedestrian who was involved in a collision with a car in Stow has died in hospital.

The woman from Church Westcote, who has not yet been named, was admitted to hospital after the incident four days ago.

It happened on the road next to the Market Cross on the Square last Thursday at 10am.

It is thought that the woman suffered a fractured hip in the collision.

Police spokesman Matt Ford said her condition deteriorated following her admission to Cheltenham General Hospital and she died on Monday night.

Police are now appealing for information about the accident, which involved a Fiat Scudo driven by a man from Upper Rissington.
